Hi, I'm Morgan — veteran engineering leader, published author, and the person who figured out that sometimes the best way to help an organization is to not be on its org chart.

In my career I led hundreds of engineers across tens of countries, and the thing I kept coming back to — no matter what my actual title was — was teams that should be thriving but aren't, velocity that doesn't match the talent in the room, and the creeping death of lowered expectations when milestones are routinely missed.

Eventually I stopped pretending it was a side skill and made it the whole job.

Now, I run Borderless, an advisory practice for companies whose engineering teams cross locations and time zones. I help leaders see where coordination is breaking down and adopt the strategic capabilities they need so they can stop worrying about execution and get back to running their business.
